WRCT Volunteer Opportunities
Animal Care
Animal Care volunteers dedicate themselves to weekly 3-hour shifts, concentrating on essential animal care duties such as feeding animals, cleaning enclosures, and diet preparation. Rain or shine, volunteers are expected to complete their shifts, as the animals depend on us. Please be aware that this role involves significant bending, squatting, and lifting. Additionally, volunteers are expected to assist with facility maintenance tasks if time permits during their shifts.

Facility Maintenance
Facility Maintenance involves non-animal handling tasks, focusing on keeping the facility clean and organized. This includes duties like dishwashing, laundry, donation sorting and stocking, sweeping, and trash removal. Shifts are available once a week, lasting 2-4 hours.

One-time Volunteer Day
We provide one-time volunteer opportunities for businesses and organizations, fostering camaraderie among colleagues while contributing to your community. We offer customized workdays and project-based opportunities. As a small organization, we cannot accommodate groups larger than 10 at this time.
